Love him or hate him, Drift is getting his own four issue series starting on September 9. Shane McCarthy, the creator of Drift, has updated his website with two articles pertaining to this upcoming series. One is a glimpse at Transformers: Drift #1 Cover A, and McCarthy gives a little synopsis of what to expect in the series. The second is a back story on the creation of Drift's character. Check out the cover and a snippet of what McCarthy has to say below, while the rest can be found on his website!

I get this question a lot and, even though I;rsquo;ve answered it in a few different interviews, here;rsquo;s the run down on the ;ldquo;why;rdquo; of Drift and how Guido and I came about creating the character;hellip;So why Drift?

Creatively it all started when I was looking at the roster and got to thinking about the different vehicles and what has been used. Hutch is a huge drift racing fan and it occurred to me that would be great to see a Transformer that turned into a drift racer. Drift racing is huge in Japan and so are the Transformers, why not combine them? That;rsquo;s the ;lsquo;wouldn;rsquo;t that be cool;rsquo; side of things;hellip;

Jim Sorenson of the Disciples of Boltax let us know about some additions to their blog.

The first is from the Ark Addendum. This image features the Destron base from the Japanese Series Tranformers: Super-God Masterforce. Click here to see the full post.

This will be the first of several close-ups of the Destron's underwater base. I don't want to repeat the external and map shots of the base that I used in the book, so you might want to flip open your Complete Ark or Ark II for reference. These pages work best in tandem with the published page of the Destron base.

The second entry is from Bill Forsters Deviant Art gallery. These are more images from the Allspark Almanac II. Click here to see the full post.

This time around, he's uploaded our Reverse-Pretender alter-egos, Octus and Megadeath, some heads from the Great War like Moonradar and Gigatron (a.k.a. RID Megatron, Animated style), some Maccadam's heads like the adorable Clipper, and more.

A few months back, a call was sent out for artists and colourists interested in working on an all new Transformers project created by the managers of "Transformers: Mosaic." We had a fantastic response and have been able to recruit some incredible talent from the fan base. Everyone has been working very hard on this project with some very impressive results and we are now at a point where we can share a little bit more about the project.

So, without further ado...

Even in the most peaceful of times, when the people are happy and safe, there are those that would bring misery and suffering unto others. Those that would seek selfish gain. Those that would plunge the world into darkness. But, there is always a light to ward off the dark. A beacon of hope for the helpless. A symbol of justice that watches over all. There is always......a Prime.

Patrolling the streets of the capital city of Iacon, the newest link in the Prime Legacy, Optimus Prime, keeps an ever-vigilant optic over the citizens of Cybertron. Armed with the power of the Matrix of Light, Optimus Prime has the ability to create any object out of pure energy, and uses the accumulated wisdom and skills of the Primes before him to battle the forces of evil, wherever and whenever they prey upon the weak.

No one bot stands alone, and there are many other protectors of Cybertron who have dedicated their sparks to upholding justice. As Optimus Prime hunts down wrong-doers, he is joined by these heroes, each with their own unique abilities and talents. Together, these "Bots of Honor," strive to maintain the peace that has blessed Cybertron for many meta-cycles.

But, all good things must come to an end. Although the various villains that Optimus and his friends battle, dangerous as they all are, may seem random and un-connected, there is a dark force rising that could threaten the whole of Cybertron. Will Optimus Prime uncover the truth about this hidden threat before it's too late? What will the consequences be, not only for our heroes, but for every Cybertronian on the planet if they fail?

In 2011, get ready for action and adventure like you've never seen as everyone's favourite 'Robots in Disguise" do battle on a whole new level!

There are still a few slots left for artists and colorists, so if you're interested in contributing to what is set to be a memorable project, get in touch with us at bots.of.honor@gmail.com.
